Museum about the newer history of Leipzig from 1848 up until today. A central hallway stretching through the entire space, functions as the time axis. On one side the history of the city is presented chronologically, here selective, representative objects are placed in a theater like setting. On the other side of the hall the possible identities of Leipzig are explored: Leipzig as city of music, city of sports, city of books and city of fairs.
